Ventero Open Press has many ways for artists to get involved.
Creating and designing shows and exhibitions for the gallery space
We encourage professional/established artists as well as up and coming artists to use our gallery. Giving our community a chance to see modern and regional works.
A) Develop a show idea, one or two paragraphs on what your show theme will be.
B) Show us some digital images; provide enough examples to show a good cross section of what your work is like. You can either email them or mail us a CD.
Keep in mind that we have high standards of quality and craftsmanship. We need to make sales at our shows and fund-raisers to keep our non-profit alive and well.
Teaching workshops and participating in demonstrations
A) While designing your show please allow some time for us to schedule a workshop or working demonstration for the public or private audience. We can, with enough notice, plan all this for the same week of your opening exhibition.
B) Or if you want to teach, give us a class outline for 1-5 students, and we will build the class around your strengths. Please let us know what your minimum tuition will be for two to three days of class time.
For the first time artists can give their work to a non-profit that is run by artists for the arts. Any prints or original pieces of art would be greatly appreciated to help in our fundraising efforts.
We need artists to introduce other artists to Ventero Open Press as well as our little town of San Luis, the oldest town in Colorado.
We are always looking for year round artists to show in our gallery so if you print or have works on paper, please let us know if you're interested and want to be part of our wonderful team.
