“Ventero Open Press is a non-profit 501(c)(3)charitable organization emphasizing fine art; dedicated to giving back to the next generation by providing education, scholarships, art supplies and exhibition opportunities for both emerging and established artists.”



~ Hosted 10 Open Mic Nights with an average attendance of 30 people. We have had poets, musicians, and many locals come in and share their talents.

~ Celebrated being open for 2 years.

~ Took part in the Alamosa Art Walk.

~ Continued our relationship with the PALS program in Alamosa.

~ Francis Martinez completed her one year with Rockey Mountain SER and was able to stay with us through Seniors Inc.
 
~ Started Liberty Park project. Installed dirt, sod, fountain and picnic tables.

~ Had an art show in Denver at Edge Gallery.

~ Continued to strengthen our relationship with Centennial School District and Adams State College.

~ Added 2 new volunteers and trained a new administrative assistant.

~ Had 4 articles in the Valley Courier newspaper about Ventero and our work with local students.

~ Two of our students has their work shown/entered into 4 art shows through out the San Luis Valley.

~ Hosted the 2009 Rio Costilla Studio Tour Emerging Artist Show.

~ Started work on "The Morada Project". The morada will be an arts/cultural center in San Luis, opening sometime in 2010.




In our donation-based, volunteer staffed Espresso bar, we proudly serve Raven’s Brew Coffee, “Real Alaskan Coffee for Real Alaskans and Their Real Alaskan Friends.”

We stock whole bean coffee, T-shirts, hats and postcards for everyone to enjoy at home or during their travels with all proceeds going to support our mission of keeping the arts alive!

We also open our doors as a community meeting place. Call us to make arrangements.
